Chelsea suffer disastrous loss at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea suffered their second defeat in as many outings this week after falling 4-2 to Wolves at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues went into the game looking to bounce back from the 4-1 loss to Liverpool on Wednesday, but instead, it was Wolves who ended up taking maximum points.

A Matheus Cunha brace and an Axel Disasi own goal cancelled out Cole Palmer’s early strike to put the visitors 3-1 ahead, before the Brazilian made it 4-1 from the penalty spot with eight minutes of normal time remaining.

Thiago Silva pulled one back for Chelsea four minutes later, but it ultimately proved insufficient, as Mauricio Pochettino’s men fell to 11th on the Premier League table.

The display was far from impressive, as Chelsea were shocked on their home turf. There’s more questions than answers now for Mauricio Pochettino.
