Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile has paid tribute to outgoing Chelsea defender Thiago Silva.

Thiago Silva is ending his four-year stint at Chelsea, and will leave as a free agent this summer.

Badiashile has hailed the Brazilian, whom he believes he’s most confident with at the back.

“Thiago [Silva] is a great player and we all know how great he is,” Benoit Badiashile told the Evening Standard.

“It will be a great miss for us but we have to continue to work. That’s life, we have to continue.

“You can see that when I play with him, I am more confident, but I have to try to be the same player without him because he can’t be with me throughout my career. He has helped me a lot, but I will try to do my best without him.”
