According to Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, who first broke the news that Chelsea have reached an agreement with Lyon for Malo Gusto, the 19 year old right-back has arrived London to undergo his medical.

Gusto will sign his Chelsea contract later today after passing his medical and he is expected to miss Lyon’s league game against Ajaccio on Sunday.

Lyon will receive €30million plus add-ons for the transfer of Gusto, with the 19 year old right-back staying at Lyon on loan for the rest of the season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed an unnamed English club tried to hijack Chelsea’s move for 19 year old right-back Malo Gusto.

Romano said on YouTube: “Behind the scenes another English club tried to hijack the move of Malo Gusto to Chelsea. They tried to contact Lyon.

“Another English club tried, no way. The player wanted Chelsea, Chelsea wanted the Chelsea. And so Malo Gusto is a new Chelsea player.”
