Chelsea receive double injury boost ahead of Fulham game

Chelsea right-back Reece James is in contention to start Chelsea’s clash with Fulham next week while Ben Chilwell could be back on the bench, according to Daily Mail.

James was ruled out of the World Cup last year after suffering a knee injury in October. He made a brief return for the Blues against Bournemouth after Christmas, but was subbed off shortly after half time and has not featured since.

Chilwell also missed out on the World Cup after suffering a hamstring injury and hasn’t featured for Chelsea since then.

Both full-backs are now back from injury and are expected to be part of the matchday squad for Friday’s Premier League game against Fulham at Stamford Bridge.

The news will come as a massive boost to the Blues, who are currently without a number of key players including N’Golo Kante, Raheem Sterling and Edouard Mendy.

Chelsea currently sit 10th in the Premier League table after a poor run of form.
