Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino believes Chelsea star Cole Palmer has exceeded expectations following his arrival from Manchester City last summer.

Palmer struck a hat-trick in Thursday’s 4-3 win against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

In 25 league games for Chelsea, Palmer has scored 16 goals and provided 8 assists.

Mauricio Pochettino said: “It is not easy to talk, it is difficult to explain. Sometimes expectation plays a role in a player when they are young. I think when we signed him, no-one expected him to perform like this.

“For sure, we have talented players and they need time. We have a young team that needs to grow.

“This process is painful when you are not in a position the club is used to. The club want to build this new project. We know what we are doing but the process is not so fast.”

  1. That’s because he was coached by Pep, others where coached by who before the arrived at Chelsea? Hence go for good players from a big club that’s what Chelsea FC is known for and not just buying from everywhere due press hype. Moise Caisedo!!
