Djordje Petrovic has hailed his Chelsea teammate, Conor Gallagher as a very good player, and exactly the type of footballer that any club would like to have on their team.

Petrovic has consistently played with Gallagher at Chelsea for about three months now, even though the pair have actually worked together for longer— dating back to last summer, after the Serbian joined from MLS side, New England Revolution.

Gallagher is one of the few players that have been available for almost every game the Blues have played this season, and when he’s on the pitch, he gives his very best.

The 24-year-old has so far picked up three goals and six assists for Chelsea this season, but for Petrovic, it’s his incredible energy and commitment to the team that sets him apart from everyone else.

The goalie was recently asked to about his Chelsea teammates he believes to be underrated, and he told Sky Sports: “Conor… A game against Arsenal I think it was 88th minute he pressed one centre-back, he pressed the goalkeeper. I turned to Reece James, ‘What is that?’. He played 88 minutes and he made the pressure 100/150 metres changing direction. It was crazy. I think he is very good and every team needs a player like Conor.”

Gallagher is a major doubt for Chelsea’s upcoming league game with Newcastle United after going down with a viral illness, as confirmed by Mauricio Pochettino himself at a press conference this week.

The power midfielder will surely be missed if he isn’t available for selection on Monday, but hopefully, the coaching crew can find a way to fill the void.
