Dimitar Berbatov has claimed that it would be a disaster if Chelsea came away from their game against Sheffield United this weekend without maximum points.

The Blues will host Sheffield at Stamford Bridge on Saturday— nearly a week after their poor 2-0 loss to Everton.

It’s a match that comes at a very troubling time for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who currently sit in 12th place on the Premier League table, and according to former Manchester United forward, Berbatov, it is a must-win game, because anything else could spell doom for the Blues.

Sheffield United are 20th on the table, but they have done well since the return of Chris Wilder.

“Imagine if Chelsea lose here? With all due respect to Sheffield United, they are in trouble. Chelsea are 12th in the table, what the f***? It’s a game that Chelsea need to win,” Berbatov told Betfair.

“Against Sheffield United at home, if Chelsea don’t win, then it can say everything we need to say about their season.

“Chelsea have the players to win of course but It’s not working for them at the moment. They need to find a way to win against Sheffield United no matter what. I’ll go with Chelsea.”
