Chelsea midfielder Jorginho is out of contract at the end of the season, and the Blues are keen on retaining the services of the 30-year-old midfielder.

Chelsea do want to keep the Italy international, and the club have only offered the midfielder an extension of his current deal – meaning Jorginho would remain on the same salary.

However, reports claim that Jorginho has rejected the club’s latest contract proposal and is instead seeking a salary increase of around 25%.

The Italy international is out of contract at the end of the season and he’s received interest from Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan.

Jorginho joined Chelsea from Napoli in a £52m deal in 2018, back then with Maurizio Sarri. He currently earns £110k per week.

After a slow start at Chelsea, Jorginho has proven to be an assured performer in the middle of the park at Chelsea.

Jorginho is currently Chelsea’s vice-captain, and according to the Evening Standard, he wants an improved deal like the one skipper Cesar Azpilicueta recently signed.

Azpilicueta earns £150k per week.

Meanwhile, Jorginho will be free to talk to foreign clubs from January.
