Chelsea manager Graham Potter has revealed his shock at the criticisms Mason Mount gets at times.
Mount who has won Chelsea’s Player of the Year in two of the last three years, often get criticisms at the slightest instance.
After a slow start to the season, Mount was targeted by critics, but his form has since improved, and he’s back to being one of the best players in the team.
Speaking about Mount, Potter said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s clash at Brentford on Wednesday night: “It’s a joy – he’s a fantastic person.
“He loves to play football and loves the club. Great attitude, he understands spaces, he can execute assists and score goals. He’s top.
“It’s surprising that I get questions on mixed opinion about Mason. I find that strange, especially from the outside and then when you work with him you see he’s got everything you need to be a top, top player.”
