Cole Palmer is definitely the signing of the season, and he has proven in time without number.

Palmer was at it again on Monday night, as he scored four past Everton in Chelsea’s 6-0 rout.

Ex-Arsenal striker was full of praise of the 21-year-old after the game. Cole Palmer had a fine moment when he scored from far out when Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford played out a loose ball.

“If there is anybody in the Premier league you don’t want to give the ball to in that situation it is Cole Palmer,” ex-Arsenal striker Alan Smith said on the Sky Sports commentary when Jordan Pickford played a loose ball to the Chelsea star.

“Palmer cannot believe his luck here, he takes it like it was the easiest chance in the world. He is playing with such confidence, he is bossing it.”

Palmer’s performance against Everton also saw him become the first ever Chelsea player to score in seven successive Premier League matches at Stamford Bridge.

Discussing Palmer’s first-half performance, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was full of praise as he said: “This lad has been sensational all season, one of the best players in the league. That was all class and composure. Some of the finishing was sensational.”

Palmer now has 20 goals in the Premier League this season, same with last season’s Golden Boot winner Erling Haaland.
