Chelsea are one of the teams who have suffered injury problems the most this season. As a matter of fact, it has been a regular problem since last season.

Just this week, Romeo Lavia, Ben Chilwell, Robert Sanchez, Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukwuemeka suffered injury setbacks, to add to a number of players who are still out injured.

What could really be the problem at Chelsea?

Chelsea’s medical department have faced a lot of scrutiny this season. The club has already changed plenty of medical staff, but the results still remain the same.

Christian Pulisic who used to be an injury-prone player at Chelsea, has suddenly become fitter at AC Milan.

Chelsea boss Mauricio  Pochettino has revealed that the club is currently investigating the team’s injury problems.

Asked if the club is investigating their injury issues, Pochettino said: “Yes, but it is not the moment to talk. Of course, we are professional. Nobody can underestimate this organisation. We know why, but we cannot explain.

“I think we have a really good organisation that we are trying to fix all the problems and also have the players available. But always it is a process. Like a process to play well, it is a process to get the results, it is a process to fix the situation.”

He added, “Next season, we want to be in a better position and not have too many injuries, to try to anticipate problems, and to start with a whole squad that is ready to compete and to train.”
