Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is set to finally leave Chelsea on a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
Lukaku is currently on loan at Italian club AS Roma, having previously spent last season on loan at Inter Milan.
According to reports, there will be no more loan moves for Lukaku when the season concludes.
Chelsea are determined to sell Lukaku permanently for a reasonable fee to recoup some cash amid the club’s financial crisis.
Football Italia transfer expert Matteo Moretto has provided the latest updates on the striker’s future, via Caught Offside’s Daily Briefing, saying that Roma and Chelsea will sit down before the end of the season to discuss the Belgium international’s future.
Moretto added that ‘in terms of concrete offers or talks, there is not much right now for the Roma loanee’.
Chelsea will be targeting to recoup £38 million from the £97million spent on signing Lukaku.
