Former Chelsea defender, William Gallas has urged the Blues to go to St. James’ Park confident they can take maximum points from their game with Newcastle United later on Saturday.

The Blues have been in decent form of late, after picking up four points from a possible six in their last two matches against Tottenham and Manchester City.

Newcastle, on the other hand, lost their last two to Borussia Dortmund and Bournemouth, and Gallas thinks Chelsea can get at least one point from their fixture with Eddie Howe’s men on Saturday afternoon.

“I don’t know why, but I’m not worried about Chelsea going to St. James’ Park on Saturday,” Gallas told Genting Casino.

“Newcastle don’t look as good as they did last season. OK, they beat Arsenal one nil, but then they lost their next two games to Dortmund and Bournemouth.

“Maybe because they are playing in the Champions League, I don’t think their performances are the same as last season. I think Chelsea will get something from that game. They should be looking to come back to London with a point at least. I can’t see them losing that game.”
