Chelsea blocked Premier League side Wolves from signing Strasbourg midfielder Habib Diarra during the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider.
Wolves spotted Diarra’s potential and submitted a bid for the 19-year-old, but saw their approach rejected.
Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital are also owners of Strasbourg and believe Diarra have the potential to make the switch to Chelsea in future.
The Senegal-born starlet has played three times for Strasbourg this season, starting in two of those outings.
The 19-year-old is under contract until June 2027 after penning a fresh contract last year (2022).
