Chelsea are interested in signing Arsenal striker and USA international Folarin Balogun, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Blues reportedly have a genuine interest in signing the forward who shone last season while on loan in Ligue 1 with Reims.

Chelsea are yet to submit an offer for Balogun but will face competition from Monaco who have already had one bid for the player rejected by Arsenal.

Sheth tweeted: “Told Chelsea interested in Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun. No formal bid, but interest is real. Monaco still pushing and expected to back in with improved offer.”
