According to the Telegraph, Real Madrid are in talks to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga following an injury to Thibaut Courtois.

Real Madrid are keen on signing Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa after Courtois suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage that will keep him out for most of the season.

Kepa is reportedly keen on joining Real Madrid and the Spanish side are in talks with Chelsea to sign Kepa on loan with an obligation to buy him.

Kepa’s Chelsea contract runs for two more years and sending him on loan to Real for the season is likely to be the end of his Stamford Bridge career.

The 28-year-old remains the world’s most expensive goalkeeper, having joined Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao for £71.6million in August 2018.

Chelsea signed Robert Sánchez from Brighton this summer and will have to sign another goalkeeper should Kepa complete the transfer to Real Madrid.
