Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have reacted after Mason Mount’s transfer to Manchester United was confirmed on Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday morning, United unveiled Mount as their first summer signing after agreeing a deal worth £55million, plus a further £5m in add-ons.
Chairman Todd Boehly, along with co-controlling owners Behdad Eghbali and Jose E. Feliciano, were full of praise for Mount’s career and history with the club, however, and thanked him for his service.
“Mason is a consummate professional and a popular figure at the club,” Chelsea ownership group said in a statement. “We want to thank him for all his efforts on and off the pitch throughout his time at Chelsea.”
