Chelsea have their biggest game of the season – the Club World Cup final against PSG.

Chelsea are massive underdogs heading into this clash, as PSG has sent a scary message following their 4-0 bashing of Real Madrid. PSG also beat Inter Milan 5-0 in the Champions League final, and eliminated Bayern Munich with 9 men in the Club World Cup quarter-finals.

Despite the quality of opposition, Chelsea manager Maresca remains committed to the strategy that has brought Chelsea this far in the competition.

“What worries me about Paris Saint-Germain is what worries me about any team,” Maresca explained.

“We are trying to help the team prepare for the match in the best way possible, by giving all the information possible to the players so they can perform on the pitch.”

Maresca also emphasised that his preparation for the match against PSG will be no different from the previous games.

“I respect every team, but the way I prepare for the match on Sunday is the same way I prepared for the match against the Brazilian teams,” he said.

“It doesn’t change much for me in the sense that I try to see where we can hurt them and I try to see where I can prevent them from hurting us. From there we prepare for the match.”
