Joao Pedro scored the only goal of the game as Chelsea beat Tottenham 1-0, finding the net for the first time in nine matches for the club.
The goal ended his two-month goal drought for Chelsea, and for Maresca the problem lies with Pedro’s fitness issues.
“Joao has never been a problem,” Enzo Maresca told a press conference when asked about Joao Pedro ending his two-month goal drought for Chelsea.
“The problem with Joao is that he’s not training every day because of the problems he has. He is not 100% fit in every game.
“Joao is going to score goals. Against Liverpool, he was very, very good. We have Liam back now and we have more options.
“We have been without Cole and two months without Liam. We need offensive players.”
