Mauricio Pochettino has made four changes to the Chelsea side who were narrowly beaten 1-0 by Man City in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday.
Malo Gusto, Trevoh Chalobah and Thiago Silva miss out in defence as Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile and Alfie Gilchrist come in to the starting XI.
The defensive line-up is a strange one as Badiashile will start ahead of Thiago Silva.
Meanwhile, top scorer Cole Palmer misses out with illness and Mykhailo Mudryk starts in his place.
Arsenal starting XI: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu, Odegaard, Rice, Partey, Saka, Havertz, Trossard.
Subs: Ramsdale, Jesus, Smith Rowe, Martinelli, Nketiah, Kiwior, Jorginho, Vieira, Zinchenko.
Chelsea starting XI: Petrovic, Gilchrist, Badiashile, Disasi, Cucurella, Fernandez, Mudryk, Madueke, Caicedo, Gallagher, Jackson.
Subs: Bettinelli, Silva, Sterling, Chalobah, Chukwuemeka, Casadei, Deivid, Tauriainen, Dyer.
What sort of l!ne-up is this. starting badiashile and gilchrist in a must win match is certainly unwise.
Pochettino should be checked, why would he dropped those guys who performed so well against Manchester City for this game? Aren’t we going for any European spot too? Why trying to help his friend Arteta at the detriment of Chelsea’s success??
That’s gone to show how relax this guy has become.. this match has to be a must win match.. To me this guy is too relax.. I think his contract should be review and some clause added..very unwise decision.
Can we get a newsflash by morning for Poch-sacked? If there is a process I don’t think if this guy has what it takes to develop these Chelsea players. Poch isn’t the best man for this job..
