Juventus defender, Gleison Bremer has admitted his desire to one day play in the English Premier League.

The Brazilian, who signed for Juventus last year has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, amid reports that Chelsea will try to sign a new centre-back in 2024 if Trevoh Chalobah leaves.

Despite currently playing in one of the best leagues, Bremer has said he wouldn’t mind playing for a Premier League side in the future, and even revealed he’s a big fan of former Chelsea star, David Luiz.

The 26-year-old told The Telegraph in an interview: “I have a couple of role models in England playing at centre-back. I watched David Luiz at Chelsea, a Premier League winner and a Champions League winner. But also Vincent Kompany in all the years he played at Manchester City.

“I like La Liga and the Premier League, but the Premier League is a very exciting championship and I watch a lot of matches and they are very entertaining. One day I would like to play in the Premier League but right now I am focused on Juventus and winning trophies with them.”

Chelsea do have a good number of defenders in their squad for now, so it’s unclear whether the Bremer transfer is one that the club needs, but knowing Todd Boehly and his transfer policy, it would be unwise to count out the possibility of it coming to pass.
