According to Get French Football News via GOAL, West Ham have joined the race to sign Montpellier star and Chelsea transfer target Elye Wahi.

The 20 year old striker is also attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain after scoring 19 goals and bagging five assists in 33 matches for Montpellier last season. 

Montpellier have already rejected a €28 million (£24m/$31m) offer from Chelsea this summer and West Ham are reportedly ready to submit a better offer for the striker.

Wahi’s contract with Montpellier expires in the summer of 2025.

Montpellier begin their Ligue 1 season on Sunday, August 13, against Le Havre. It remains to be seen if Wahi will remain with the French side after the transfer window closes on September 1.
