According to the Telegraph, Premier League rivals Liverpool have outbid Chelsea for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.

Chelsea have been in pole position to sign Caicedo all summer but have had multiple bids rejected for the 21-year-old rejected by Brighton.

Chelsea’s last bid for Caicedo was a £80million offer and Liverpool’s offer is understood to exceed Chelsea’s latest bid.

Liverpool’s bid for Caicedo comes after Chelsea submitted a bid for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, who is a target for Liverpool.

Liverpool have had several bids for Lavia before they were outbid by Chelsea this week for the Southampton midfielder.

Liverpool had been linked to Caicedo in the past, but it’s debatable whether he wants to move to Anfield, with the Ecuadorian seemingly intent on heading to Chelsea. Brighton have made it clear they want £100 million ($127m) for the 21-year-old, while Southampton are demanding £50m ($63m) for Lavia.
