According to Foot Mercato via ESPN, Chelsea and Premier League rivals Manchester United will battle for the transfer of PSG star Neymar this summer.

The 31-year-old is out for the season following an ankle injury in a 4-3 win against Lille in February, which has fueled rumours that his time in Paris might soon be over.

Chelsea tried to sign Neymar last summer and remain interested in signing the Brazilian international while Manchester United have now joined the race.

Neymar is under contract with PSG until 2027 but the French club is hoping he will leave this summer. Neymar’s salary is one of the reasons PSG want to see him leave, but that same factor also prevents many other clubs from signing him.
