Real Madrid are interested in signing Chelsea right-back Reece James this summer, according to Spanish media outlet AS via Metro.co.uk.
The report on Metro.co.uk states: “Real Madrid are keen on a summer move for Reece James, according to reports in Spain.
“The La Liga giants want to sign a new right-back in the near future and James is at the top of their list of targets in that position, reports Spanish publication AS.
“Joao Cancelo and Juan Foyth have also been touted as possible summer signings, but James is thought to be the right-back most wanted at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“However, while Real Madrid always presents an alluring prospect for players around the world, it will be no easy matter for them to sign the England international.
“James only signed a new contract with Chelsea last year, a deal which runs until 2028 and the club are unlikely to want to let one of their best players, who is still only 23, go.”
