Premier League rivals Manchester City are interested in a summer deal for Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell, according to GiveMeSport.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is keen on strengthening his left-back options and has identified Chilwell as an ideal signing following the exit of Joao Cancelo in January.

Guardiola has long been an admirer of Chilwell and tried to sign the 28 year old England left-back when he was still at Leicester City.

When asked about City’s interest in Chilwell, Simon Phillips told GiveMeSport: “City definitely like him and that’s been confirmed, but he is just one of a number of left-back options that they’re looking at for the summer.

“Chilwell is definitely on their radar.”
