Jack Grealish came off the bench to set up Manchester City’s winner in their 1-0 victory over Chelsea on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge.

Grealish admitted after the game against Chelsea that he and Riyad Mahrez were itching to get on the pitch having spotted gaps in Chelsea’s defence from the bench.

“We’ve had games this season – Everton and Brentford recently for example – where they’ve had a back five and they’ve sat in against us,” Grealish said.

“Against a back-four today it just felt so much more open and we [he and Mahrez] were saying we were desperate to come on.”
