Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella was booed countless times by fans of Brighton.

Marc Cucurella played for Brighton, before a big money move to Chelsea in 2022, and fans of his former side turned on him in Wednesday’s game at Amex.

Every touch of Cucurella was met with boos from the home fans. It got worse after Cucurella was awarded a penalty, before VAR overturned the decision.

The Spaniard put in a solid defensive shift and provided an assist for Cole Palmer’s opening goal in the first half.

Taking to Instagram after the game, Cucurella posted a picture of wrestler John Cena celebrating a victory, as he poked fun at his former team.
