Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was pleases with his side’s performance in the 1-0 win over Tottenham.

Chelsea beat Spurs away from home to level up points with their London neighbours. It was a fine performance from Chelsea, as the Blues were also solid for 90 minutes.

Maresca has insisted his side must continue to improve defensively.

“I’m happy with the three points,” Enzo Maresca told a press conference after Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Tottenham.

“Especially because we kept the clean sheet. We need that for the future. We are going to score goals but we need to do better defensively.

“I think the performance was very good, on and off the ball. The way we pressed was very important. We were also very good at that vs Liverpool. You need that if you want to be close to the top. You always need goals but you also need to concede less goals.”
