Enzo Maresca has admitted that he cannot fully rely on Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Joao Pedro week in, week out, as they continue battle fitnese issues.

“The idea is to protect these players,” the Chelsea head coach said about managing the three players’ minutes.

“You cannot plan with them because there are some problems and situations. It’s game by game to see how many minutes we can use them but we need to use all the squad at the minute.”

Caicedo and Fernandez came off the bench in the Wolves game in mid-week.

Maresca has started all three players against Tottenham.
