Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca insists he has no regrets about being sent off for his passionate celebration during his side’s thrilling 2-1 victory over Liverpool, admitting the moment was “worth it.”

The Italian received a red card after racing down the touchline to celebrate with his players at Stamford Bridge following Estevao Willian’s dramatic late winner — a goal that capped off an unforgettable night for the Blues.

Maresca will now serve a suspension when Chelsea visit Nottingham Forest on Saturday, October 18th, as the Premier League resumes after the international break.

“It was a huge emotion (against Liverpool). It’s my second season at Chelsea and it was the first time we won at home in the last minute,” he said.

“The sending-off? (I’ve said) many times, football is passion, instinct. I probably didn’t have time to think. It was an instinctive reaction, but I think it was worth it.”
