As Chelsea gear up for a massive Champions League showdown with Benfica on September 30, Pedro Neto has stepped forward with a message of perspective and calm.
The Portuguese forward knows all too well the pressure surrounding the Blues after an inconsistent run of form, but he’s urging fans not to get carried away by results — good or bad.
Neto said: “Football is like that. One day you are the best if you are winning, if you lose you are the worst. When the manager was winning, he was the best and now he’s losing games he’s the worst.
“Same with the players too. When we won the Club World Cup, we were the best in the world and now we are losing we are the worst.”
