I can’t stand it – Jamie Carragher slams Garnacho for what he did against Fulham

Chelsea fans are still waiting to see Alejandro Garnacho make his full debut in Blue, but Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has already branded him a “miss” – and it had nothing to do with his ability on the pitch.

During Chelsea’s clash with Fulham, television cameras cut to Garnacho in the stands. Instead of watching the game, the winger was spotted looking down at his phone just seven minutes into the match.

Carragher, who was sat alongside Roy Keane as the pair rated the Premier League’s biggest transfers as a hit, miss or too early to tell, didn’t hold back in his criticism.

“You know what I didn’t like? Did you see the game [Chelsea vs Fulham], when they go to the people in the stands and they are on their phones with the game going on. I can’t stand it. And it’s not just him [Garnacho] by the way, but I can’t stand it,” Carragher said.

The former Liverpool defender went as far as marking Garnacho down as a “miss” – despite the fact he hasn’t even played a minute for Chelsea yet.

“So it’s a miss for that! For sitting on his phone during an important game for Chelsea,” Carragher said.
