Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Fulham brought three points but also a major setback. Young striker Liam Delap limped off with a hamstring problem, and manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed the forward could face up to two months on the sidelines.

This situation made Chelsea block the loan move of Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich, with Jackson already in Munich.

After the game, Maresca was questioned on speculation that Nicolas Jackson has subsequently been blocked a loan move to Bayern Munich.
“I just finished the game, came here and have no idea. We’re going to sit now and we’ll see. Honestly, I have no idea,” the Chelsea coach responded.

According to Sky Sports report, Chelsea have made their stance crystal clear in ongoing talks with Bayern Munich over striker Nicolas Jackson.

The Blues are not entertaining a loan exit and have told Bayern that if they genuinely believe in Jackson, they must commit to buying him outright.

“Chelsea’s position is clear: Jackson is a Chelsea player, so if you want him, then buy him,” Sky Sports reports. The report insist this is not a negotiation tactic or “poker play” — Chelsea are firm that a loan deal is off the table.

Even if Bayern agree to a permanent transfer, Chelsea would still need to source a replacement striker. That task has been complicated by the scarcity of loan options left in the market, meaning the Blues would face a major challenge in reinforcing their attack before the deadline.

Chelsea now believe any form of loan agreement for Jackson has been “totally revoked,” leaving Bayern with only one option if they wish to land the Senegal international.

If Bayern truly believe in Jackson, they will have to buy him.
