Chelsea have reportedly slapped a price tag of over £30 million on midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, as Fulham begin talks over a potential summer move.

The 26-year-old joined the Blues just last summer, reuniting with former Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca, and although he enjoyed a solid debut season at Stamford Bridge, he found regular minutes hard to come by in a competitive midfield.

Despite that, Dewsbury-Hall still managed to make 36 appearances across all competitions, chipping in with five goals and three assists, showcasing his energy, ball progression and ability to link midfield with attack.

However, with Maresca looking to reshape his squad further and Chelsea still navigating Profit and Sustainability Rule (PSR) challenges, Dewsbury-Hall is one of several players who could be allowed to leave – but only for the right price.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Fulham have already initiated talks with Chelsea over a deal, but the Blues have made it clear they want more than the £30 million they spent to sign him from Leicester City just a year ago.

Chelsea are under no immediate pressure to sell Dewsbury-Hall, but given the sheer volume of midfield options – including Enzo Fernández, Moisés Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Andrey Santos – the club could decide to cash in on the midfielder if Fulham meet their valuation.

Selling Dewsbury-Hall would represent a pure profit under PSR rules because he was signed last summer and would still hold significant market value. This could help Chelsea balance the books ahead of further reinforcements.

Would It Be a Good Move for Chelsea?

Losing Dewsbury-Hall would mean parting ways with a hardworking, reliable squad player who knows Maresca’s system inside out. But from a financial perspective, selling him at a profit makes sense if he isn’t guaranteed a starting role next season.

For Fulham, this would be a smart signing, as Dewsbury-Hall brings Premier League experience, technical quality, and a relentless work rate that would add depth and creativity to Marco Silva’s midfield.

While Dewsbury-Hall has been a solid addition, his departure wouldn’t necessarily weaken Chelsea’s midfield, given the depth available. The key question is whether Fulham will meet Chelsea’s asking price or if Dewsbury-Hall stays as a rotational option under Maresca.

Would you sell Dewsbury-Hall for £30m+, or keep him as an important squad player next season?
