Moises Caicedo is the only Chelsea player that would make PSG starting XI – John Obi Mikel claims

Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel believes Moises Caicedo is the only player from Enzo Maresca’s squad who could break into Paris Saint-Germain’s starting XI.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Club World Cup final between Chelsea and PSG, Mikel was asked by talkSPORT host Ade Oladipo whether any Chelsea players would make the PSG team.

“You’re stitching me up here,” Mikel joked, before admitting: “That’s a tough one… Probably just, just Caicedo I think might just get in there. But you need to find a way to fit Caicedo and Vitinha. You can’t take Vitinha out of that team because for me, he’s been absolutely brilliant.”

PSG booked their place in the final with a dominant 4-0 win over Real Madrid, scoring three times in the opening 24 minutes. The likes of Nuno Mendes, Vitinha and Ousmane Dembele have starred for the Champions League winners in the competition.

Chelsea, meanwhile, reached the final after defeating Benfica, Palmeiras and Fluminense in the knockout stages.

When asked if Caicedo could replace Fabian Ruiz, Mikel responded: “He’s been on fire, he’s scoring goals. Maybe Joao Neves, just maybe.”
