Barcelona are among the clubs showing interest in Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, with sporting director Deco reportedly planning talks over a possible loan move, according to CaughtOffside.

Jackson’s future at Stamford Bridge is reportedly uncertain, with several clubs monitoring the situation. Chelsea are expected to demand around €50 million for the Senegal international, but Barcelona are currently leading the race and hope to negotiate a loan instead.

The La Liga giants view Jackson as a useful rotation option for the upcoming season, especially with veteran striker Robert Lewandowski potentially unable to play full matches consistently due to his age.

In addition to Barcelona, Jackson has attracted interest from Newcastle United and Aston Villa in the Premier League. AC Milan were also keen but have reportedly backed away due to financial constraints. Napoli are exploring alternatives to their top target Darwin Nunez, with Jackson among the names being considered if their pursuit of the Uruguayan falls through.

Jackson has had a disappointing summer with Chelsea, failing to impress at the Club World Cup. The recent signings of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap further signal a potential drop in his role within the squad.

Despite this, the report indicated that Chelsea remain cautious about selling to domestic rivals, which could boost Barcelona’s chances of securing a deal. A loan move could also offer Chelsea the opportunity to reassess Jackson’s development after a season abroad.
