It has been an exciting FIFA Club World Cup so far, and we are now at the summit of the competition.

Chelsea will face European champions PSG in the final, and for Thiago Silva, it’s two of his former clubs whom he holds in high esteem.

Silva spent eight years with PSG before his four years at Chelsea. He won the Champions League with Chelsea, and won the hearts of many with his performance in that four-year period.

Speaking before the Club World Cup semifinal between PSG and Real Madrid, Thiago Silva revealed his heart will be divided.

“I now hope Chelsea can do well in the final, regardless of who they face,” said the Fluminense centre-back after losing to Chelsea.

“If it’s Paris Saint-Germain, my heart will be divided. If it’s Real Madrid, I’m definitely rooting for Chelsea.

“Now it’s time to lift our heads, wish [ex-Fluminense player] Joao Pedro luck, and move on.”
