According to BBC Sport, Chelsea explored the possibility of signing Mohammed Kudus, but a move to Stamford Bridge is now considered unlikely.
Kudus is open to leaving West Ham United this summer and is prioritising a move to a Champions League club. Although Chelsea have secured a return to Europe’s top competition, they are not currently pushing to activate the £85 million release clause in Kudus’ contract.
As things stand, Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be the frontrunners for the 24-year-old’s signature, with Kudus reportedly favouring a move to north London.
The attacking midfielder joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023 for £38 million and has registered 13 goals and 9 assists in 65 appearances.
Kudus still has three years remaining on his contract.
