Chelsea striker Liam Delap started the FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final clash against Palmeiras.

Chelsea won that game 2-1, and have now sealed passage to the semi-finals of the competition.

Delap was handed a yellow card late in the first-half, and he’s now suspended for the Club World Cup semi-finals.

The booking triggered an automatic one-match suspension, and he will miss the game against Fluminense.

Delap was subbed off for new signing Joao Pedro early in the second-half, and Pedro impressed for the Blues on his Chelsea debut.

Nicolas Jackson will be available for the semi-final against Fluminense – after serving a two-match suspension for the red card against Flamengo.
