Cole Palmer has admitted new Chelsea signing Joao Pedro changed the game for Chelsea after he came on in the second-half of Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Palmeiras in the quarter-final of the Club World Cup.

The 23 year old Brazilian forward signed from Brighton came on in the second-half as a replacement for Liam Delap.

Cole Palmer on Joao Pedro: “He did very well [vs Palmeiras]. I think he changed the game for us.

“He’s been on holiday in Brazil, so we didn’t know what to expect from him, in terms of match sharpness.”
