Joao Pedro made his Chelsea debut in the Club World Cup quarter-final clash against Palmeiras.

The Brazilian forward, who joined Chelsea from Brighton this summer, was handed the No. 20 shirt and made his Blues debut as quickly as possible.

Joao Pedro came on for Liam Delap shortly after the restart, and made a promising start to his Chelsea career, as he livened up Chelsea’s attack in the 2-1 win over Palmeiras.

Chelsea fans have been hyped up following Joao Pedro’s impressive debut, and Chelsea’s creative kingpin Cole Palmer also seemed impressed.

Cole Palmer said: “Cole is a very good player.

“Everyone knows that he can change the game like he did today and I enjoyed playing alongside him.”

Palmer opened the scoring for Chelsea with a brilliant first-half strike, which set the tone for the team’s victory.
