Chelsea are not pursuing a move for Aston Villa goalkeeper and World Cup winner Emiliano Martinez, despite recent speculation linking the Argentine with a switch to Stamford Bridge.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, while Chelsea did explore the possibility of signing AC Milan’s Mike Maignan ahead of the Club World Cup, there is currently no interest in Martinez.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will add another goalkeeper this summer, but any talk of a move for Martinez has been dismissed as inaccurate.
