Pedro Neto has urged his Chelsea teammates to remain confident and believe in their ability to compete with the world’s best, following their 2-0 victory over LAFC in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 opener.

The Portuguese winger, who scored a brilliant opening goal in Atlanta, believes the Blues have what it takes to go all the way in the tournament.

“We have to be confident,” said the 25-year-old. “We finished the season really well. With the players we have and the squad we have, we have to be confident in ourselves and take that through all the games we play.”

The Blues will now look to carry that momentum into their next match against Brazilian giants Flamengo, with hopes of securing a place in the knockout stage.
