Jadon Sancho has sent a farewell message to Chelsea fans, after confirming that he’d be leaving the club.
Sancho leaves Chelsea after completing a season-long loan at Stamford Bridge. He’d now return to his parent club Manchester United, after failing to reach an agreement with Chelsea.
Chelsea will pay Manchester United a penalty fee of £5m after not meeting the £25m obligation to sign Sancho.
“Grateful for the experience,” Sancho wrote in an Instagram post.
“Big love to everyone at Chelsea who made me feel at home — teammates, staff and the fans.
“Wishing the club all the best moving forward. Truly grateful, Thank you Blues.”
Sancho leaves Chelsea with pleasant memories, after winning the Conference League in his only season at the club.
