Chelsea are reportedly among the Premier League clubs interested in signing West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian international has an £85million release clause for Premier League clubs, which becomes active during the first 10 days of July. Despite a dip in form during the 2024/25 season, Kudus remains on Chelsea’s radar as they prepare for a possible attacking reshuffle.

After a stunning debut campaign in England where he scored 18 goals and provided 10 assists, Kudus registered just five goals and four assists this term. However, his ability to play as a centre-forward, winger, or attacking midfielder makes him a versatile asset — especially appealing with Christopher Nkunku reportedly unsettled and exploring a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are said to admire Kudus not just for his attacking versatility, but also for his potential as a dynamic ball-carrying midfielder — a role he thrived in at Ajax. The Blues have been in search of such a profile, having failed to land Manchester City youngster Nico O’Reilly in January.

With West Ham planning a summer overhaul, they may be tempted to cash in on one of their most valuable assets. Kudus’ resurgence toward the end of the season could reignite his market value — and Chelsea are closely watching.
