Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has taken to Instagram to reflect on a successful debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, thanking the players and supporters while sending an optimistic message ahead of next season.

“A long and intense season has ended in the best possible way,” Maresca wrote. “A huge thank you to all the players and all our fans who were close to us and accompanied us on this journey.”

In what was his first season in charge of the Blues, Maresca defied early scepticism to guide Chelsea to a top-four finish in the Premier League, securing Champions League qualification. He also ended the season with silverware, lifting the UEFA Conference League after a 4-1 victory over Real Betis in the final.

Maresca ended his message with a promise that will excite Chelsea supporters: “The best is coming.”
