Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic is attracting interest from AS Monaco, with the Serbian shot-stopper reportedly open to a permanent move to the Ligue 1 side this summer.

Petrovic, 25, impressed during his loan spell at RC Strasbourg Alsace, helping the French club secure European football for next season via the UEFA Europa Conference League. He has previously hinted at staying with Strasbourg beyond the summer, but a new suitor has emerged.

According to L’Équipe, Monaco have identified Petrovic as one of their top targets in their search for a new goalkeeper. The Principality side are keen to bolster their squad ahead of a return to European competition and see the Chelsea loanee as a viable option.

While Petrovic is reportedly open to the move, Chelsea’s €25 million asking price may pose a problem. The Blues are understood to be considering bringing him back to compete for the No.1 shirt, with neither Robert Sánchez nor Filip Jörgensen fully convincing in the 2024/25 campaign.

Monaco are also exploring alternative options, including former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, currently at Fiorentina, and OGC Nice’s Marcin Bulka.

As it stands, Petrovic’s future remains uncertain, with a return to Stamford Bridge, a permanent stay in France, or a move to Monaco all on the table.
