With the pressure of qualifying for the Champions League now over, Chelsea have one last hurdle to climb.

The Blues have one last game to play this season – the Conference League final against Real Betis on Wednesday, May 28.

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca believes it has been a good season already, and winning the Conference League will be the icing on the cake.

Reflecting on his debut campaign in charge of Chelsea, Maresca acknowledged the highs and lows but believes that clinching a European trophy would make it a truly memorable year.

He said: “We were in four competitions at the beginning of the season. We have finished in the Champions League. We went out of the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, but overall I think we can say it has been a very good season.

“I said before, for me it was already a good season, but it could become very good if we were able to get the Champions League, and hopefully now we can win the Conference League on Wednesday.”
