Chelsea striker Armando Broja is set to return to Stamford Bridge following the conclusion of his loan spell at Everton, the Merseyside club has confirmed.
The 22-year-old Albanian international joined the Toffees on the final day of the summer transfer window in a move designed to strengthen Everton’s frontline.
However, Broja struggled to make an impact at Goodison Park, making just 11 appearances without scoring a single goal.
His return comes as part of a wider loan clear-out by Everton, with Jack Harrison, Jesper Lindstrom, and Orel Mangala also heading back to their parent clubs.
Broja’s future at Chelsea now hangs in the balance. With the Blues expected to overhaul their attacking options this summer, it remains to be seen whether the academy graduate will be part of Enzo Maresca’s plans going forward. Despite showing flashes of promise in previous seasons, Broja has yet to deliver consistent performances at Premier League level following his ACL injury in 2022.
With Chelsea reportedly in the market for a new striker, Broja may be made available for a permanent transfer or another loan as the club reshapes its squad ahead of a return to Champions League football.
The coming weeks could be decisive for the young striker’s career — whether he stays to fight for a place or seeks a fresh start elsewhere.
